Yes we are finally back up!!!
We're all about knowledge here on TJ

So as promised here is the long explanation of what happened.
Our site is hosted with a company named POWWEB. They recently migrated their entire infrastructure to a new environment. This change happens slowly as they move probably 3 website per week. In early June we were scheduled to get migrated. After they migrate a website to the new system the old system is actually kept "on-line". This is obvious because they have other websites to move over. Once all the sites are migrated the server is turned off.
Well we were migrated as planned in early June. However, our pointer files were still pointing at the old "legacy" infrastructure!!! Yup the whole time we were using their old servers. Yesterday at around 11:00AM POWWEB powered off their entire old infrastructure and our site went down with it
After numerous phone calls and trying to figure out what happened I was able to point TJ back to the "new" infrastructure, where it should have been pointing to. Unfortunately, since this migration was done in early June that how much data we were missing. The site literally looked like a snap-shot of TJ in June 2006!!
In order to get the site up to date I had to wait until they powered on their "legacy" servers (that's why it took so long). I then had to download the entire site and the SQL data file and reload them both onto the "new" current environment.
So in short, I would say POWWEB and myself are both at fault. I was supposed to take care of the DNS pointers but also POWWEB should have notified me when they saw so much traffic pointed to the wrong servers.
Regardless, we are back up now and I'm sorry for the inconvenience
If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask. This is what I do for a living and I know this type of stuff is a mystery to some.
