Like the title says can we have regional forums so that we can try to coordinate meets etc?

if a regional forums section is a bit out of the question I think maybe just one sub forum for meetups would work also...it would get abit cluttered as the site grows but it would be cool.
any status on this? cause i wanna do a chicago area meetup!!!
