i belive that we need the ability to delete our own threads.
we can delete our posts but if its post #1 we cant delete it.
theres time where i make a worthless thread to get a quick answer then i wanna dlete it, but on here i cant. i noticed that.
just a suggestion

Yep I've noticed this being a common problem on many many sites, always bugged the expletive out of me.

I'm gonna talk to the rest of the staff about this but it I figured out that I can solve the issue but, I think it's best we leave it the way it is.
Let me explain.
- Member A makes a thread about putting a boosted HF engine in his CRX.
- Obviously this is stupid so he starts getting flamed for it
- Then member B posts the specs of the HF engine and lists excellent reasons why it shouldn't be done.
- Tons of other members read the post and learn something about the HF
- Member A gets back on the forum, reads all the flames, feels like an ass and deletes his entire thread.
Now in this scenario, all the time that member B put into making a good argument against the HF engine and all the facts he posted are gone. Forever, see ya, just because some turd deleted his own thread thinking, "well it's mine I'll just ditch it"
That's an extreme example, but I think that's why as default you can't delete the whole thread, you can only delete your posts. I wish there was a way that if your post is the only one in the thread to delete it, but that can't be done, it must be a flaw.

If its a useless thread that has no worthwhile response in it like an extremely simple question with a quick answer then you can always ask a mod to delete it. one of us will look it over and if theres no relevant info well delete it.
