They have them in Florida, but you get a civil fine, doesn't carry points.

a nice way to generate income for your community, cut down on man power for traffic offenses and end overall douche baggery. I wish we had more in florida so that people would stop acting like dicks on the road.

won't cut down on manpower, but will hopefully free up time. The goal when the city was looking into them was to increase awareness and reduce accidents.

In Colorado, we just started getting them.
just with in 10 mile radius range from my house, I counted about 10 cams already, but they are all nearby the major streets.
havn't herd how the ticketing works, but I hope it doesn't give out points

waht do the cameras look like? because there are samera's to monitor traffic also. They are smaller and usually 4 of them at the corners. Usually ppl mistake these for traffic camera's

a buddy of mine here got a ticket and in traffic school, the guy told them that the red light running cameras won't snap a pic unless you're going 10+ mph over the limit in that area...they have them here on a stretch of the 101 cuz in that stretch alone, the number of high speed accidents is more than all the worst stretches of other freeways here combined...i think they gave out over 11,000 tickets due to the cameras in the first 5 days of them being on........a buddy of mine his dad got snapped by a camera driving, he was running a red light, 18 MPH over the limit, expired tags and it snapped right as he took a swig of his Bud Light bottle
