help! how do i set the correct length for my CV axles???
i just got a new set of cv joints/axles for my build and they are so close to the correct size, but not all the way there. i know i need to remove the boots to adjust the size, but i also know that the boots are packed with a shit load of grease, so i dont want to go and mess with that shit til i know 100% what i gotta do.
so that leads me to my question, does anyone know how ot adjust the length of an OEM cv joint for a honda?

i never heard of it either...maybe its just a marc thing??
you only have to check the distances if you rebuilt them yourself...OTS rebuilds are spec'd.

hmm
well if the manual and auto pass side axles are the same, then theres a fuck up cause this one is definately an inch shorter. the reason i cant just bolt it in is because i put it in completely flush so that its clicked in place, and as i tighten the nut, it pulls the axle out of the transmission.
if its hanging out, the fluid will drain out in between the splines.
im going to go get my other wrong axle that they sent me and see if its the same size, if so, ill use that one but it definately is the wrong size and would be dangerous to use in that way. im going to do more research on this.

yea. i was gonan use the new "pass side" one that i got but its defintaely wrong alltogether. idk wtf the seccond one they sent me is. it doesnt even go in the trans. they are sucjh fucking tools i swear. now im just gonna return them both scratched up and if they dont give me my money back im gonan pull some serious shit. further more im JUST PISSED AS HELL NOW.
also, the fucking IACV is a bitch. its a little prissy bitch. i needed to grind about 1/10 of an inch off of the edge of the IACV because the stupid motherfucking throttle body has a gay ass lip that the OLD iacv rested against and the iacv adapter doesnt fit with the lip there. also, i cant fuckign see if its sealed all the way tight since its in a fucking gay asss spot. and lastly, the most fucked up part of all, the new obd1 iacv plug sits facing the firewall, and its tight against it, so now i can teven wire it, so i had do take it out, break off the plastic around where the plug would go and jsut bend the prongs around so i can fit it behind. im about ready to give the fuck up on this shit, its so fucking gay i hate it so god damned much and my ggf is on her peroiod and my mom is comming home tonight and i have to go to a fucking DMV out in nowhere with her to register her fucking car because she wants so spend quality time asdabads

keep your head on...if you have to extend the IAC wires so you can get a solid fit...and make sure you ensure the IACV sits flush or your idle will blow. other than that, shits not too bad and you're almost done
