high metabolism sucks....kinda..(help)

having a high metabolism kinda sucks ass but its also good in its own way. it sucks cause when i try to work out and lift wieghts, i dont get big and bulky. just more so toned up. i dont wanna lift too much weight so that i will hurt myself. but having a high metabolism does have its upside. i can eat and eat and eat and not get fat. thing is i'm starting to get a bit of a belly of chub help!

umm. for one thing, you dont have a fast metabolism if your getting a gut. the reason you arent seeing gains is you're probably not training correctly. im no professional, but take a look at my routine and compare it to yours.

obviously gains are gradual and take lots of time, but im seeing them at a steady rate which helps keep me motivated. i seriously was completely stagnant my first 6 months, due to a lack of proper training and dedication.

since you say you only get "toned" you leave me to believe you want to bulk up. which would require taking in 3 or less large meals per day. lifting very heavy weights, in low reps, high number of sets throughout a longer workout session.

learn yourself the proper powerlifting techniques (deadlight, squat, benchpress) there are very few things better than powerlifting to create pure mass. its how franco columbu (my sig) and arnold first started, which gave them and edge in their careers.

there's no such thing as a high metabolism

only a high digestive rate and high energy consumption ratio. biochemistry fuckin SUCKS TOTAL ASS, but thats one thing which is true.

anyhoo, with ur body type, u cant get big without lifting hard and DIET. u gotta eat like crazy too. mAB lax up on the cardio a little so u dont expend the glycogen in ur muscles moreso. leave it for the big weights. sleep is essential

sure u'll increase ur fat index a lil. but when u wunna cut up that wont be a problem.

free weights are essential (it aids in exercising the compound muscles that are required in ur lift with the primary muscles) and as chris said, technique is pinnacle. no point doin anythin if u aint gunna do it right.
