finally picked up a sub for the S...
just a 10", 400W Kenwood subwoofer... figured I'd install sometime this week or next... whenever I get the chance.
any ideas for an enclosure? I mean, it's obviously gonna go where the spare tire tools are... so I'll lose those, and might as well lose the spare tire while I'm at it, to offset the weight the sub will add to the rear.
I was thinking maybe build something with a plexiglass top, so I could stick a neon light in it or something... I dunno. just to be different. but I dont know if it's really worth doing, since that might take a lot more effort than just building a box.

installed last night... it sounds fucking awesome!
I spent like an hour or two wandering around home depot, and finally just gave in and bought a pre-built enclosure at Best Buy for like, $80... it fits perfectly into the trunk of the S2000, so I'm happy with it.

I already had a power acoustik one powering the two door speakers... now I'm just running the speakers off the Clarion head unit, and running the sub off the amp... more than enough power, thanks anyway though.

yeah man, it really does. it doesn't move around but maybe an inch or so in any direction. Plus I got to keep the spare tire and the tools, and the box is easy enough to remove should I need 'em.
I'm actually really impressed with the S2000's sound deadening. Cause yeah, it's pretty fucking lound inside the car... enough to overpower the exhaust and wind noise to where I can't hear them at all... but outside of it, it's really not so loud as long as the top and windows are up.

Nice dude, I'm just finally gettin around to installin an old competition Polk 12 my buddy gave me a while ago. Im gonna buy some MDF and make a box that fits my trunk. My brother started to make a fiberglass enclosure for his girlfriends car and had to stop cause it was such a pain in the ass and hella expensive.
