02 lights on an 05? - Tuner-Junction

what do you guys think? think it'll look good? im just curious to see if anyone has done a swap like that. probably not seeing as it would be a lot of work, or if its just a simple pop out and pop back in type of thing

it would look like a 02-04 or 05. im not sure if the lights have the lumps on them or they just look like lumps due to the cut out on the bumper or soemthing. i think it would be a waste of money and be spent better elsewhere.

You would have to put the 02-04 bumper on to and i think our years look better so y! i would slap you! o did you go to the meet on thursday night?

there is a RSX on ebay that did the 02 conversion, looks just like the 02-04, so don't waste ur money on it.

if u really wanted to, i'm sure u could find someone with an 02-04 to switch with u...

but yea my opinion is the 05-06 look a hell of a lot better.

I actually prefer to the older tail lights to the 05's. I just think they look better/unique, I like my tail lights and all but I do like the 02's more. If you're going to do a conversion, all you'll need for both the front and rear are:
headlights
headlight supports
front bumper
rear bumper
rear tailights
(not sure if you'll need different supports here)
And a litte rewireing.

Everything else is the same, from the hood, fenders to the hatch.

ok so basically your making your car look like the older one? Why not just buy the older one and call it a day???

i didnt mean the front, i was just asking about the rear taillights. i dont like how they jutt out like that, i like how my taillights are are flat, and then all red, looks nice.

Tony the front and rear are all direct bolt on, just the front or rear bumper will have to be changed to match the older designed tail lights or headlights due to the dip in both. I agree I like tail lights from 04 down. I dont like how the tail light lights up now. Its not both dots that light up the outter toward the reverse light is now the blinker. I liked having both dots light up and having a blinker seperate. All the parts are interechangable on the Rsx. So your set.

The more I look at the 05+ I the more I like the 02-04 models more I don't know why but I do. I know I don't like the new tail lights the whoel bubble part in it just looks funny to me.

and nguyen, yah the 02-04 styling is simply sex. but i saw an amazing lookin 05 on clubrsx it was white, had a lip kit, and some volks, and all i could do was look at it in awe. simply gorgeous

I like the 05 front end headlights but I sure dont dislike mine. Hell I chose my car over a 05 back in november 04. I didnt like its interior changes with the mismatched vent colors. For example. It has dots all over the Satin silver painted AC pannels. Then if you have black interior they give you GRAY Freaking GREY VENTS. Now how in the hell does t hat match. I dont care for there gauge cluster. I dont like there plastic in the rear bumper. I dont like the taillights and how they bubble up and light up different compared to the 04 down. I wasnt concerned with th e little hp diffference. I would be ripping off the exhaust and swaping all internals out but the crank. So it was stupid, and I saved some money. It wasnt worth the .1 second time that the 05 got over the 04 Plus I saved money. YAY for saving money.
