Gearing Questions.

In 6th gear on the highway at 80mph i'm at a little over 4k. Does that sound right?

My old 5spd h22a was considered short as hell and was at dead 4k @ 80mph. Just seems weird considering 6th gear is usually an "overdrive" gear.

Also how is everyone's MPG/MPT? I've got 160 on the odo and a little less than half a tank of gas. Still on my first tank.

I usually get 250-260 miles per tank. I fill up about 10 gallons per gas station visit. Which for me is awesome gas mileage, because I drive very very very spirited, to put it lightly.

i just finished my first tank of gas and the odo was at 26X. Mileage is supposed to get better though.

$28 bucks for full tank of 93 octane, come to think of it i didn't notice the gallons, gotta check the reciept.

This is during break in, meaning no VTAK Y0... sooo i guess we'll just see

That's really good to see that Honda spread the extra gearing over the usable rev-range instead of just slapping a big gear on at the end for cruising!
Go Honda!

nope still stock lol PLus I know about this change I did a whole write up on SHO. For those that saw it. I need to put it up here. My final drive hasnt been altered with a tire change. Im not sure why its doing this yet. Heck I only have 17300 miles on it I better still be on the factory. Even though there about shot. Damn junk tires wore like crap I didnt even abuse them anyway.

Nah its not that either it sounds like it revs to 8100k and I have it at the dealer practically monthly driving them nuts with it, if it idles louder than it should its in. Dash rattles its in. Its constantly checked. It even sounds lik 3.5k too Ive driven my buddys 03 it doesnt even sound like his 4k. I think maybe when they rebuilt my trans they changed out my final drive. I like valee park my car back about a 6 months ago. They tore it apart in Harrahs casino parking lots. They took out second. third and fourth. Third in our car is 91mph They got it atleast over that and they some how managed to take out Reverse. So they gutted my trans instead of ordering a new one and put in the updated bulletins. First gear Set which is also second because its a close ratio trans. Third gear set. and 4th gear set. Also reverse, put in a new flywheel they cracked mine. They even gave me a new clutch, shift forks. It was a reworked better than before trans. They checked the rest of the car all week. They wanted to make sure nothing else is damaged to make sure it was running like new or better. I love my dealer they really took care of me. It was about 3500 dollars worth of them working on that trans. But some reasons after that the car at 80mph now runs at 3600. They checked every part in that car after that happened so I know its not the dash. I think they might have accidently ordered a new 05 FD.

When I let them park it, I was fighting with my fiance my buddy had called me from the casino and said dude come have a drink with me, I wasnt thinking and will never let anyone park it again other than my fiance or the dealer.

That could be it, they could have figured its the same tranny they just uesd hte 05+ FD instead when they rebuilt your tranny. I wouldn't be surprised if they did as they probably has those part easier to get into stock. Lucky... I want the 05+ FD.. haha

the 04 is better for turbo which im doing. If your going turbo you want your FD or SC, if your going all motor you want the 05
