well headers are really hard to install on a 4cyl, since youd need to convert it to a v6 or v8 first
JK man, its an easy install as long as bolts arent rusted. all you do is unbolt the downpipe from the cat, unbolt the manifold from teh head, then replace it with the new parts. just make sure you replace the gasgets. its most likely about 2 hours of work.

you have to remember that the k-series sits opposite of typical honda motors, so it's a little more of a PITA since its between the motor and the firewall.

I am not an idiot i know how to install headers but since i am a k series it is not on the front side but the back side so i just wanted to know how much more of a pain in the ass it is which from talking to other dc5 owners i hear it is a pain in the ass and that its only worth it if i go full race headers

It's a pretty good PITA, I would rather install another k20 sc than do headers The shorty headers wont show much of a gain if any so you would be much better off on a race header (personally if you are going to stay all motor I would save up and get a SixSigmaRacing header).

If its anything like the civic, and I imagine it is. They aren't that hard to install.
Basicaly they are as hard as a dodge neon. Which is not hard at all

it's HEADER!!!!!! The K-series like every other 4cyl. only has one set of exhaust ports...
But i know my speed shop had a hell of a time getting one bolt off for my header when I changed it out.. they had to work from under the car and from the top.

it is a pain in the ass...for the race header you have pull the cat/dp, take off the drive shaft cover, drop the sway bar, then remove the stock mani, swap the sensors over, install, replace the sway and adjust the clearance around the header. Like I said, I'd rather install another supercharger on one than do another header.

truth, kevins learning about the K working on his friends Comptech SC rsx S.......... But seriously its a pain in the ass...... But the only header type worth getting for the K is racing type........ LIke kevin said the sixsig is a good race header, or a hytech....is what id go with....If you dont have tons of cash, and since its a base you might not want something really expensive who knows...... Jackson racings is nice and comptech is nice too.....Everything else I wouldnt touch.
