Aguri Suzuki realistic about expectations

Quote:

In about one week time Formula 1 will welcome the latest entry to the paddock. Super Aguri, founded by former F1 driver Aguri Suzuki, will make its debut in Bahrain with Japanese racing drivers Takuma Sato and Yuji Ide. Suzuki expects a difficult start, but sees a clear future.

"I want to bring in the good results in the near future," Aguri Suzuki said. "It won't be easy to bring in the results from the start, but we will have to look at the long term future of our team in F1."

His racing driver Takuma Sato agrees. "I think it will be tough at the beginning, but I want to perform better step by step," said Sato, who scored his only podium finish with BAR in 2004 at Indianapolis.

Aguri Suzuki made his Formula 1 debut as a racing driver at the Japanese Grand Prix in 1988. He was the first driver from Asia to score a podium position when he finished third at his home Grand Prix in 1990. He finished his F1 career in 1995.
i think they will be a back marker for the most part of the season. They have a strong engine, i just don't think the chassis development is up to par.
