distributor info needed. please help

ok, im trying to figure out some of the many little things thats wrong with my h22. right now im lookin for a distributor. i have a jdm distributor that came with the engine that has an internal coil. can i just slap that on and have it work, or is there modification needed?

ive also noticed that some usdm distributors are internal coil and some are external coil. like asked above, can i use either or? i found this one for an amazing deal, but its internal coil. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Moros...0679 47QQrdZ1 .

that looks like a pretty good deal... but I'd make sure it's legit first. Something tells me that Moroso, a huge parts manufacturer, isn't going to liquidate their overstock themselves through ebay. I'd think they'd just drop the price super low and sell to their distributors.

either way, it looks like a pretty nice part... so might be worth getting.

but personally, I'd swap to a usdm external coil distributor (which will work with your USDM wiring, I think, with no modification) that way you can more easily diagnose problems that arise, and it'll be easier to switch to a full MSD setup in the future, should you choose to go that route.

thats defenately a good point. i was thinking of going with a msd ignition in the future. i just need to get the car running prime first before i put more go fast goodies on her lol. i have all kinds of parts on there now just because i had the money when the car was down and gettin an engine so i bought all kinds of shit for it. then i put it all on at the same time (it was before the car was up and running again). if i knew i was gonna have problems with this engine, i woulda saved my money and bought things that needed to be replaced. i just assumed that i woulnt have problems.

hi johnlude...its me NukeeZoid....

well just another quick question for you....i am running my USDM H23 harness on my JDM H22A swap....the problem now would be....im running the H22A distributor....

and i read this "" I'd swap to a usdm external coil distributor (which will work with your USDM wiring, I think, with no modification)""

would this be the reason my car isnt starting up?
