Custom exhuast or T1r exhuast

My plan is to get a SMSP header later down the line I know the T1r exhuast is 2.5 pipping as well as the smsp header collector.

would I get more power from a custom exuast or the T1r with the SMSP header and a good tune on hondata?

I was always told to go with a 2.25 piping since 2.5 may be a bit above causing backflow.

It all depends on who is building your custom exhaust. If you take it to some crap muffler shop and uses crush bends and shit even on a 2.5" pipe you aren't going to gain much. Find a shop that builds mandrel bent exhausts and prefferably one that has for lude owners and see what kind of gains they are making. If you want a sure shot go for the kit you were speaking of. Peace.
