yo. i need some help.

hey. i am new to this forum. i tried asking this question on preludepower.com but i think they started to get annoyed and deleted my post. anyway, i have a 1989 prelude, black with tan interior. the dealership broke my drivers side kick panel but they won't order me a new one until i can tell them for sure whether my interior is "camel" or "sand" because they don't want to just order both of them. the color code for the interior inside the doorjam was painted over and i've asked multiple people online, at dealerships, friends, i even called honda and gave them my vin and everything and no one can give me a definite answer. half the people i've asked say it's definitely sand, and the other half say it's definitely camel. basically there's two brown interior shades, one is a lighter tan, and the other is a darker brown. mine is the light tan color. if anyone has either one of those interior colors, and still has the color code sticker intact on the doorjam, can you please let me know which color they have and what the code for it is? i will love you forever. thanks.

well.... as far as i can tell there is really only one way of actually finding out which is which.
IF you can get a hold of a different part from an interior from another prelude that is either sand or camel, and know for sure that, that's the color it came from.
just take it to your car and just color match it with yours. if the "donor" car is camel interior (cause you know its camel cause it says its camel) and you try to match it up to your interior and its the right color?
then your good to go, if it doesnt match up then you know to go with sand.

thats my two cents

find another prelude or go to a paint shop and try and get a sample of both colors and see which one most resembles yours. Do you have anything thats tan in your house? or cant you take them the other kick panel and decide which one it is??? doesnt the title say the interior color?? try autotrader.com and search for cars your year it should tell you what color the interiors came with.
