So I might be getting a CF hood sooner then I though
So today I'm driving home from work.
Get off the freeway and going down oso and there is a school bus in the right hand lane next to me
well the light ahead turns green and I'm 3 cars away from the intersection, we all start to move foward and the school bus pulls over to the side of the road let some kids off
the second that stop sign comes out (I mean the red lights aren't even BLINKING yet) the SUV in front of my lane slams on her brakes comes to a screeching hault in the middle of the intersection
Mercedes E500 2006 ahead of me is forced to do the same and almost slams into her
then me I slam o my brakes and I go skidding in the Mercedes and tap her bumper
so I'm yelling obsenisty left and right SO pissed and I'm about to explain the traffic laws to the SUV ahead of me in some very strong language and she bolts out of there... just takes off almost hitting the kids crossing the street in front of her SUV
so the mercedes and I pull over
damage the the benz is very minor just scratches on the bumper will probably buff out and just need some touch of paint
Damange to my prelude is a little more.. scuffs and scratchs on the bumper all will buff out.. will need some touch up the driver side headlamp got pushed in becuase when the benz tried to avoid hitting retard lady in her SUV she tried to switch lanes but couldn't and was facing sideways
so the headlamp on the driver side got pushed in as well as the small tab on the grill..
the hood is also bent in a bit by where the headlamp was..
anyway I'm going to get som estimates tommarrow and if it's bad enough to need a new hood I'll probably just end up saving for a VIS OEM CF hood and I might be doing my HID retrofit a little earlier then expected if the headlamps are damaged too much..
all this I was going to do after my exhuast anyways but I'm still pissed about the situation!

pretty shitty way to upgrade. Other drivers suck and they will always suck. This is why i never tail people (not saying you were) cuz you never know when they think something will jump out in front of them.
if you give us a sec, we might be able to get a sponsor on here that will be able to take care of you, hood wise.

Thats what i did with my trunk....came out to go to lunch one day and a Jeep had its front bumper dug into my trunk. I think it was my fault though...my e-brake could be a bit better...
either way i was rich on school loans and got the CF one...

yeah it was retarded like if I wasn't paying attention I wouldn't be so mad but it just the horriable luck I've been having this week it's just more icing on a cake that has 80 lbs too much on it, I think someone doesn't want me to mod this prelude....
But that won't stop me
luckyly enough it something small that can be fix outside of insurance... hell I'll probably do the work on my car myself, the mercedes was driving by some nice lady but she was kinda clueless... she called the cops for a report and the cop just chuckled and said "ma'am it's jsut touch up paint do you really want insurance to get involved" and she kinda got the point that it wasn't that bad but I'm sure she will want the dealership to paint her car for $918307509347234780129347 or whatever the dealership pays to buff out scratchs now a days =(
I just really wanted to get hte exhuast on their first becuase I hate driving a car that I can barely hear... but so is life at least I don't get pulled over for BS anymore.... for now...

alright so I just checked out all the damage. It isn't half as bad as I though lots of paint that I buffed out, hood is dented inward slightly at the headlight. The headlight mount broke off as well but I got the headlight back in place.
So if I can bend the hood back it will look fine till I get the CF one as for the headlights they both work so I can use them till I can get to retrofitting some HIDs in there
just need to get some touch up paint and get 45 minutes in my body shop and it should be fine. Other then that drives fine and amazingly is still pretty well aligned so I might be able to hold off alignment till I get coilovers but if I notice anything I'll realign it at some lifetime realignment place
