Nooooooooooooo
I was changing my oil today and when I was done I turned on the car to let the oil cycle through. Well I left it on while I was cleaning some stuff up and I just happened to glance over at the timing belt which was wiggling side to side a little bit. So I turned the motor off and pushed it with my finger and sure enough there is quite a bit of slack in it. This scared the shit out of me cause I had just been reving it to around 6k only seconds before to help cycle the oil and I couldve very well made it skip teeth. So I carefully drove it to my mechanic at the sunoco right down the street for him to look at but he wont be able to look at it untill monday. Could this just be that it needs changed or could the auto tensioner have gone bad? I've heard that its a pain in the ass and very expensive to fix the autotensioner...

I know I should do the manual conversion but I dont plan on keeping this motor for much longer and I dont wanna spend too much money on it. does anyone know what the total price is for all the parts needed for the conversion?

Damn this shit was expensive. I ended up not doing the manual tensioner conversion cause my mechanic (the guy I go to when I dont have the tools needed) wouldnt have known how to do it. Anyway here is a list of the parts that I had to get, where I got them from and their prices:
$84.83 -Timing belt -Honda dealership
$51 -Balance shaft belt -Honda
$110 -New auto-tensioner -Honda
$62.99 -New Bosch water pump -Pep Boys
$138.04 -Timing component kit -Pep Boys
$150 -Labor
Total: ~$596.86

dude, after an oil change all you have to do if you are unsure of your work is let it run for about 15-30 secs, theat will move enough oil for you to check it for leaks and or the correct lvl.

I never even do that, I just judge how much oil the filter is going to hold, then I over fill it that much
