thermostat problem or somethin else?
I've had cooling problems on my prelude ever since I got the damn thing...i first replaced the radiator and it was fine for 3 months...then the heater valve hose (i think is what its called) that goes from the back to the left side of the block had a slit in it which i replaced back in February and it was fine until a few days ago...now it has started creepin up again and i wanna catch the problem before it gets worse. Coolant was full, no leaks in the garage or anywhere that i've seen. Thermostat problem?

try that, thermostats are cheap and easy to change.
might as well get a new radaitor cap while you are at it. (assuming you didn't change that with the radiator)

it's happened both times, when I had the A/C on once and the other time is when I had it off...the radiator cap BTW was replaced along with the radiator. All the hoses I checked last time were fine so i'm hopin its the therm. it only went up a little but i wanna catch it before it gets worse because i've had to deal with this shit like 3 times already and last time it happened at a horrible time, i barely was able to pull over because of traffic and everything and the engine was smoking like fuck. I was lucky it wasn't damaged

yeah it might be the secondary speed of the fans
that fuse might be gone...
try pushing the car around the neighborhood... if the heat comes up fast... its the fuse

it usually happens on longer trips i make (12-15+ miles) when i stop at red lights and stuff...not really around the neighborhood unless i try goin around it for like 30 minutes lol...yeah I can hear the fans come on, i dunno if they're at the right temp but they've always been good throughout the other cooling problems i've had
