toe or camber problem *PICS*

hey guys, I was changing the oil in my Lude last night and saw somethin interesting...my Prelude is completely stock and today I saw that the front tires were treading unevenly...they are Yokohama AVS ES100's...I just noticed this today seeing as it feels perfectly fine when driving and nothing is visibly wrong with the car (the wheels are perfectly straight visually) until you look closely at the tires...I rotated the 2 bad front Yokohamas to the back now and the good ones on front so it shouldn't have as much as an impact...anyways, I included two pics so you guys can see what I'm talking about

sorry for the bad pics I had to get in close,,,in the first pic though, you can clearly see on the right side how the tread is fucked up...do i just need an alignment or what? cuz i haven't had one since I bought the car last March. Thanks in advance.

yeah, you need to get an alignment, it's not safe with wear like that. did the previous owner do ANYTHING to it, maybe something you're not aware of? what's your tire pressure?

get it aligned. most shops usually do it for under $70. i dont see it being a camber problem since you said its stock. id say your toe is too far in.

Mac the previous owner was a 55 year old woman, original owner, who drove it like 2 miles a day from work and back, it was bone stock nothing done to it...I keep the tires at 35 PSI

I have a question though, the wheels look perfectly straight I know its possible for it to do this while that happens but I don't know HOW

yeah the wheels will "look" straight, but arent. they are actually off a couple of degrees. in some cases you can actually see that they point inward or outward. defenately get it aligned. itll save those expensive tires you got. i can sell alignments like hot cakes at work. especially when a customer gets new tires. all i have to ask is "and would you like to protect your investment with an alignment, the old tires were pretty unevenly worn?" and it gets em every time i swaer man lol. its best for everyone. they get to keep theyr tires longer, and i get a bigger comission check.

but i wouldnt try and straighten them out yourself, take it to a shop. if you try yourself (withought the proper machines) you can actually make it ALOT worse. ive seen that happen before too.

yeah I won't try it myself lol, i'll get the alignment either tomorrow or tuesday...question though, how long can I keep driving with the yokohamas on the back now? I've got BF Goodrich G-sports on the front now and they are in like new condition...but the yokohamas are on the back now which obviously has less activity than the front wheels but how long do you think i can keep driving on them?

yeah i wont be replacing the bfgoodrich g-sports after the alignment cuz they're still in like almost new condition....after the yokohamas go though, should i just buy 2 more g-sports or 2 cheaper tires? cuz the back end doesn't get THAT much wear on them compared to the front? i mean i wont get like some 45 dollar ones but maybe some 70-80 dolar ones? cuz the g-sports are like 103 each at discount tire

edit: i think i almost see the white string shit coming out on the right tire

anything would be better than what you have on there. different compound tires will only affect your handling if you're really pushing it around corners. if you drive reasonably sane, you can get away with it. or replace all 4 and sell the g-sports on ebay

Dude, I'd get those two tires replaced ASAP. Last thing I'd wanna see is you blow a tire and hurt yourself, especially since you've spotted and are aware of the issue. Dont know what your $ situation is lookin like... but if its gotta be a $50 tire, its gotta be a $50 tire. That kinda wear and tear is just unsafe... whether there avs es100's or not, know what i mean?
