User Motor Oil and Gas Data

It seems that people are always curious about what motor oil people use, and what kind of success/failure or like/dislikes they've had with them. If we follow this format it'll be easy to read. And we can always come back and enter new data So, lets do this!

Lude year: 1998, type SH
Miles: 40k
Motor oil: Mobil 1 synth, 10w30
Filter: Purolator Pure1
Driving habits: Vtec ~1+/day, with aggressive/normal driving
Change interval: 7500 miles
Burning/missing oil before changes? Added 1/2 quart between changes (last oil change, see notes)

Notes: Previously used castrol GTX, 5w30, with hamp synergy for 3500 miles, fram filter for 1500 miles, before current oil change.

Gas Mileage: last fill up...294miles/10.9gallons ~28mpg, 1/2 highway

Burning/missing oil before changes? Less than a quart after 4k.

NOTES: I do alot of spirited driving in the curvies and this is a relatively new motor.

Gas Mileage, 310 miles to the tank on average. If I dont mess around in Vtec I can get up to 350 miles to a tank.

i do have to say i am pleased at the amount of people using mobil one, i work for a mobil one oil change shop and the synthetic oil is amazing, the corporate assholes send us all the results of testing and stuff done on the oil so we can sell more of it, but it is really good stuff and look for the QMI full throtle engine treatment, its better then any slick 50 treatment out there, really good stuff
