ok guys, i got my forbidden shifter in the mail today. it shipped verry quickly i might add. i took it out of the box, and it was packaged VERRY well, all arrived safe with no blemishes. the install was extremely simple, if you need to know how, they have installation instructions on their website. you most likely wont need em anyway. but it took about 40 minutes from start to finish, and that was taking my time stopping for a smoke break.
as for the quality of the actual shifter itself...impecable. the quality is second to none. the welds are really good looking, and it fits really good, as good as stock. im verry pleased with the overall quality.
now, the shifting experience, is a little to get used to for me. it feels good and the shifts are verry precise, but it feels like it goes into gears a bit rough. it might just be a big change to a transmission with 214,000 miles on it (i got the jdm h22 swap, but used the origional h23 tranny). im not sure. i do like it though, it feels absolutely awesome. not NEARLY as much play as the stock one had. i have it on the middle setting which is a bit better then stock, and soon ill move up to the shortest setting, after i cut the console a bit. but other then the strange roughness, it feels great. i have a little grind in 3rd gear, and with the shifter its not quite as bad, so thats another good thing.
here is a before picture. the shifter itself is only .5 inches shorter then stock (which is my only gripe about it, i wanted it shorter). however, that half an inch makes a huge difference in the general feel.
here is halfway through the install getting ready to remove the stock shifter...i had a huge mess in my car btw lol
and here is the end result, all put back together. i got the bronze shifter btw. im not sure why the black one is $10 more, im pretty sure theyre the same, just different colors.

so thats my review...enjoy
