Hondata or Equal fuel tuning on a Stock H22a

Is it just me or do the H22a or all DOHC VTEC run so rich it's rediculous. I hooked in my OBD2 scanner and it was extremely rich. Once I get the Money for my T1R exhuast I'm going to have an extra bung welding in and I'mm yank off the AEM WB from my turbo satty and stick it in the prelude. I wouldn't be suprized if in VTEC the car is run low 12's in AFR. If thats the case I may spring for fuel tuning before I even get my header becuase it seems like Someone could easily pull a good 20whp out of just performance tuning a H22 even stock.

Just wondering has anyone heard of a dyno before and after JUST fuel tuniong on a completely stock H22a(1 or 4) would be really intrested in the results.

I've often wondered this myself. Although it doesnt make sense that Honda engineers would let something like that slide and decrease efficiency.

i really doubt you are in the 12's but yes, they run a little rich from the factory. Going from OBDII to OBDI with a good tune could prolly net you 10whp right off the bat.
