What suspension are you riding on? Reviews....

Please keep comments to a minimum

My first setup was neuspeed sport springs and stock shocks. This was a good combo. Ride was excellent even on the stock shocks.

i then moved to neuspeed race springs and stock shocks. This ultimately killed my shocks since it was so low. Ride was kinda rough, but i kinda enjoyed it

Moved to another setup with neuspeed sport and KYB AGX shocks. The shocks were 4 way adjustable which was really nice. Especially on road trips when i wanted to be premo comfy. I absolutely loved this setup. The ride quality was damn near close to stock. Handling was fairly nice considering such a mild setup.

i moved on to yet another setup that i am currently running. Tein HA coilovers. The pillowballs make a good bit of noise and the ride is pretty damn stiff. They are 16 way adjustable, 16 being the stiffest. I put them on 16 one day and there is no way i could ride around like that all the time

H&R race springs on stock shocks. Nice and stiff, but really bumpy (which I like). I'm planning on buying some tokico iluminas, or koni yellows and f&r ST sway bars this summer when I have more money.

At 1st some cheap non-brand dual spring coilovers with stock shocks, fairly good handling but a litle more bumpy that i expected... with the setup being too low the shocks died after 10 months.

Now D2 RS
the handling is amazing. The comfort is not as good as the teinSS or Flex but the performance is something i've never seen before on a lude...

...who's for some corners?

1. Eibach Prokit + Stock Shocks
- super low, but totally comfortable ride.

2. (current) Tein SS
- stiffer than Eibachs but still very comfortable ride and <3 height adjustability
- here it is raised quite a bit higher than with the eibachs

NSX rode on Zanardi springs (same as NSX Type S in Japan) What was nice is the ride height was retained but the spring rates were stiffer. The setup was OEM Honda so you KNOW they were designed just for the NSX. For shocks I ran adjustable Konis. Bars were Science of Speed adjustable, they were basically re-badged Comptech Racing anti-roll bars. For chassis bracing I used 2002 NSX Type R bars from Japan. Science of Speed imports them for a "reasonable" fee. This setup was chosen because my two instructors used the same thing in their NSXs on the track with incredible results.

Not dropped that bad (thank god...the NSX already bottoms out all over NJ)

1990 CRX was running Jackson Racing sport springs (yes, they used to make springs) with Bilsteins. Liked the setup but it was 14 years old. This time around I went a Progress coil-over setup (tuned for the B18 swap), Neuspeed bars, Neuspeed chassis braces front and rear, Neuspeed rear lower chassis brace as well, Full Race front traction bars, Ingalls front and rear camber kits, Energy Suspension polyurethane bushing kit.

Everything powder coated

bought this setup 6 years ago, gonna be changing soon. Its a good ride, plenty low, stiff without any bumps.

KYB shocks - not AGX
Intrax springs

not sure if i need/want adjustable shocks, I dont autocross and the car isnt a daily driver anymore...

H&R Race with Neuspeed Konis.
Setup came with the car. I like it a lot, the ride is firm and stiff but not bouncy. The Konis are set on half stiff front and rear.

Skunk2 coilovers w/ KYB (4-way) AGX shocks.
I ride slammed with the fronts set at (3) and the rears set at (4), 4 being the stiffest.
Potholes....

Well I order my Tein flex's for the 5th gen on monday got word that they are on back order and should be coming in tommarow. I chose the flexs becuase I didn't want a full out race set up but the SS are just way to damn soft for my liking. Hope the Flex's will do what I want out of them if not I can always get it stiffer. I'll probably ride around with it so there is no wheelgap on stock rims till I can get some lightwieght 17's and a nice brake set.

I'll do a review when i get them in hoping for this coming tuesday to get it all in alignment wednsday. Borrowing a digi camera too so expect pictures

Ehhh, Unfortunately, whomever installed the spring/shock combo fucked up . The pass side is set on the 2nd from lowest perch and the driver side is on the 3rd from lowest . Im going to raise the pass side to match the driver.

i got the basic tokico suspension kit. and for 350 some bucks you cant really complain. the ride stiffness hardly changed but i did notice it but it doesnt even bother me. overall stability was improved greatly but i reallly dont think cornering ability has changed if at all. but it does seem to be a shit load more better on low speed turns. the camber didnt look like it went too far out. the front isnt on a noticeable angle but the back is only slightly noticeable. maybe when i get an alignment it might change the handling alittle more. one thing it did do is make the car drive streighter. before i did the suspension the car would veer on a slightly angled road now it doesnt. the only complaint i actually had was it didnt drop it quite as much as i expected... they advertised 1.5 inches. and it dropped about an inch all around. maybe one day il swap out the tokico springs for some other lowering springs. here are some pics of the drop and the kit. click for larger pics. oh and yea the front has lowered more since, these pics were taken 2 days after the drop.

yeah it happens so gradually that you dont even notice. As time goes on they might actually sag a little lower. That happened to my freinds accord neuspeed springs. When they are as low as my h and r race springs
