Photo Gurus Please Help!

just got a new camera, a fuji s5200. first one i got seemed to be super blurry and crappy quality compared to my point and shoot kodak easyshare.

i returned it because fuji said it shoudl be crystal clear and i got my new camera today. so after messign with it i started snapping pics with all the different modes and adjustments. when i loked at them on my computer at full size i could see they were all grainy!! every one no matter what condition was comming out grainy unless sized down. now the whole point of getting a $300 5MP digital camera was to get images i could use as backgroundss for my 30" but im embarassed to put them up, they just look crap!

they simply dont compare to my old 4mp kodak easyshare that cost 2/3 of the price and 1mp less.

here are two pictures, old camera and new, same light conditions same settings but two different cameras. you see for yourself.

now look at them at 100%. compare them and tell me im not crazy because im thouroughly dissapointed with this overpriced piece of junk and im returning it tomororw AGAIN. which is a huge pain since it was bought off the net rather than in store. i will then go to a retailer and buy a new camera or just drop the idea of getting a new one at all. im just mad about how utterly terrible these photos are compared to an old camera.

also, can anyone point me in the direction of any digital camera under 300 since i most likely will get a new one sinmce this was supposed to be an anniversary gift from my GF and she is as upset as me

try checking the settings.. maybe it's just taking pictures at lower megapixels.. u gotta set it to be taking the full megapixel capacity.. check also for night modes..

Your hands could be a little shaky and cause the blurriness. But I'd recheck and try the other things said.

i tried all the suggestions, not much help. i also tried a tripod, no difference. I spoke to fuji again and i said id send in sample images so i put in h, including the pink flowers. If this is the best the camera can do, so be it. I will return it for a refund and get something else because its not what i want in a camera.

when i look at the sample photos online in the same conditions, they seem to be so much better than the camera I have. i will b epissed if its just another fualty camera but ill keep replacing it til i get one that works. Im just very skeptical that 2 cameras ive gotten both have the same issue. and surely a 5mp fuji is better than a 4mp kodak???
