honestly they both are very interesting photographs.
technically the problems I see in the first one are as follows:
your sky is terribly blown out. usually you would want to have a surrounding scene that in some way compliments the subject you wish to photograph. From what I can tell the sun was high, probably around noonish?
if you were to take this either in the morning or closer to sunset (and photograph it so that the sun lights the face of the building you wish to photograph) this photo would be great.
but you did a great job with composition and did an amazing job at keeping it balanced.
in photograph two you may have a small exposure issue. it looks to me that it may be overexposed, the lamps are a bit hot....if not only by 1/3 of a stop. but again your composition is very interesting. also the only other recommendation would be to retake this photo but this time with a tripod because i really don't see anything that is sharp. so my tips: tripod, shoot at the smallest aperature possible (ie. 45 if your camera goes that low), and maybe use a polarizing filter in order to rid the flooring of reflections.
