I'm guessing he put the whole picture into focus whereas the first picture only his car was into focus. am I correct?

That's what I'm thinking. Or he just took the original made a mask around the car, selected the inverse and blurred it.

yea thats what i did. i also intensified the color of the lights and removed the glare on the left light, parts of the body, and the exhaust. just simple achanges but it looks better.
