b&m pro short shifter

This things is the best
Compared to the regular b&m shifter, this is a must have. The cost is alittle more. Comparing the regular of $50 to the pro of $130, but its well worth it.
It comes with the bushings and everything. It just feels so much better than any short shifter I have ever felt.

i can vouch for b&m shifters. I've had 2 and no complaints on either one. wouldn't mind upgrading to the pro sometime soon

I have a skunk dual bend shifter , but I think I'm gonna sell it and go with this one. Jeff Evan's uses it and it's a true "track" shifter. Very long and it puts the knob right near the steering wheel......

Before you write it off as ugly look at the videos, it's in a perfect position!!

It looks way better in the second video. The first one looks loose and wrong. I can see how it would be good for an easy reach from the steering wheel. But I'm going to have to stick with a shorter one.

Gonna' be buying one when I get paid in a week. I thought about cheaping out and getting the $40 Arospeed with Prothane bushings. But I might upgrade that to the more expensive Skunk2.

Quality > Inexpensive in most cases.

Good points

All I could see was that first video, and at first the throw seemed long, but it's probably about the same as stock (GSR) and for the size of that shifter that's pretty good.
Short shifters are for cars like the 300GT VR4, where the console is above your waistline and the shifter is already close to the steering wheel. For performance, jadkar is right it needs to be close to the wheel with the shortest throw possible.

^^^^

Take a look at Jeff Evan's own "fast as hell" civic hatch at WGI. This video is awseome!!! and it show's his shifter in action, not to mention our incredible track

shifter is right where you NEED it

Jeff Evan's is the god of all things related to Honda tuning. That particular Civic is pretty mild. Stock block GS-R with FR turbo kit. I think he's running around 15psi and is up at 300whp. Of course that's with his tuning. You have to look at his website, he posts some of his customer's dyno sessions.

He just tuned a Civic for Full Race at like 850whp!!!

I can't wait for the 20th....... he's the one tuning my CRX

I have the regular one that I paid $30 for, and it puts the shifter in a much farther position from the driver but the shifts are very short and notchy which I like. Mine seems solid but I've seen them break. Pretty much the coolest "looking" short throw when a Mugen knob is on it!
