my brother's new project
97 240sx auto. Picked up from the auction with blown head gasket for $1300.
day it got picked up:
how it currently sits (peace ka24):
No pictures of the driveline because i'm lazy. LS1+t56 sitting in the shop. Subframe is notched but needs to be welded (waiting on friend to not be busy). LS2 oil pan is on along with the new clutch/flywheel. Next step is to test fit the motor in so i can get the measurements and design the mounts.
Anyone got a manual pedal set they'd part with for a reasonable price?

haha, it's not that clean. There is a dent in every panel basically and you can kinda see in the last pic how bad the driver's rear quarter panel is caved in. He doesn't care much though, it's harder to beat up a nice car.

clutch pedal/slave cylinder is in. Starting to design the mounts. Got the crossmember, oil pan and block (not pictured) drawn up. Going to put together a few designs on my trip to Ohio this weekend and see what works the best. Depending on how they work, might produce some.
ls1+ls2 pan+bellhousing on engine hoist waiting for me to get done.

Battery box is in along with cutoff switch. Mounts are a little over 1/2 done.

cool....just be careful with pan clearances. seems like the main deal with most ls1/240 swaps.......unless u wish to ride at donk-height.
it seems a balance between hood clearance and sub-frame rail clearance.....all the best.

motor is bolted in I hear. It's a little too far forward though (shifter placement) so he's going to figure out what to do... probably involving a big hammer to make some room.
I'm 60 miles away so no pictures.
