but if you take it to infiniti to do a 30/60/90k service they will charge you like 600 bux, but you can buy the fluids and do it in your driveway for hella cheaper and easy as hell
also forgot to add, timing chain, dont need to be replaced till it starts making noise, which will be way over 100k

thanks jon, what about tires?
for the rsx, maintenece was minimal pretty much, take it for an oil change for 20 bucks, and service is like 200 bucks. so thats not bad actually.

the g35 coupe wears the rear tires pretty uneven cause of the agressive camber settings, and those stock tires are fucking expensive, but the sedan tires arent as expensive and they last alot longer

even then you can get it adjusted back to factory specs. friend of mine has a 2001 Maxima SE(VQ30DE) with over 170K miles and when it started to click a bit, went to get it adjusted. He said that the service manager told him that timing chain will basically last forever with the right care.

there is really no adjustment on those, just chain tension, and yes, keeping up on maint. mainly oil changes will make a timing chain last almost forever
sounds like your friend just had a new tensioner installed
