my new sentra
2004 Sentra Spec V, officially owned the car for 3 weeks now.
So far mod list includes: Nismo CAI, 16" Enkei wheels and catless exhaust w/factory style muffler all done by previous owner. My mods include just the Eibach Sportlines which I installed on monday. Last piece of my custom exhaust comes in tomorrow afternoon so I can finally get some piping done and everything welded together.
I know I'm no photographer and my camera is a shitty point and shoot so no comments on the quality of pics

agreed, nice to see your sticking with the nissan family. What keeps bringing you back to the sentra? Why not a maxima or altima? I have never drove a sentra so i was just curious

oh god no!!!!
i used to own one of those things. first thing you have to do is install a header, any header, it doesnt matter. the exhaust manifold has a precat in there, under high temps, it falls apart and pieces of catalytic converter go into the engine scoring the cylinder walls, causing massive oil consumption.
my spec v ate 2-3 quarts every 3000-3500 miles.
a nice forum for that car is www.b15sentra.net

no theres even been reported cases on engines built after 04
as a matter of fact, nissan recently recalled a bunch of sentras and altimas that have the qr25de engine.
oh, another thing, make sure that the butterfly valves in the intake runners are screwed down securely.

i never saw the problem on anything 04 or up personaly, but i have done many many recalls on the butterfly valves, it only paid like 1.3 to do it, but after 2-3 of them, you had them done in less than an hour
the worst recall ever on any newer sentra, was the fuel tank recall, that one can suck my fucking balls

I also own a 2003 2.5LE so i know about the precat and everything. It actually happened to the LE at about 30k and I had the block replaced under warranty. And I'll be locktiting the butterfly valve screws the next time I'm at my parent's house. I'm already a part of b15sentra.net and thevboard.com btw too
To answer Silv's question, Maximas are just a tad too big for me right now. Plus i would never be able to squeeze one into my tiny ass parking spot. I considered the 3.5 Altimas, but couldn't find any within my price range and kind of the same reason as the Maxima, not really looking for a big sedan like that. The reason I stuck with the Sentra is it's handling capability and I just like the car over all. It makes decent power from the factory, the interior isn't bad and it looks nice. Even the bucktooth grill has grown on me. Although Nissan utilized a semi independent suspension, they did a damn good job in making it work really well underneath the Spec Vs. Car handled like a dream before the drop on stock suspension. The Sportlines just made it better. I'm debating right now whether to go with a full coilover setup later in the year or just grab a set of Koni yellows since it's still on stock shocks right now.

lol, I'm not sure I like them all that much. Don't look bad on the car, but 16's look tiny on that car. I'll probably be upgrading to 17s towards the end of the month.

4 door+ 16's=no good. Pick up some nice 17's or even 18's!
