fell asleep coming back down to seattle from bellingham last saturday night and ran into an 02 Civic. Had the cruise set at 65, not sure how fast she was going, but yah that's the result of it. I don't even remember the car being in front of me so I must have been out for a while. It's at the bodyshop now and the insurance adjuster is coming on Monday to check it out.
There might be some motor damage though cause it does not sound good when I start it. We'll see I guess...

Probably just the radiator and exhaust are fudged up, i hope. Sorry to hear about this happening right after you get a new car. Be happy if the frame is still in good shape. How much did they quote you?

no quote yet, will find out on monday. Not so sure the frame is in good shape either. My driver's side door doesn't line up anymore, it's not bad, but it's off a little bit now.

well the entire driver door sits lower than the rear driver's side door now. The gaps and lines for the fender and driver door line up. I should have gotten a pic of the door not lining up to show you.

$4800 in damages and the insurance adjuster assured me that the door not lining up is because of the fender, but they are going to put it on a frame straightener just in case to make sure everything is cherry. ETA on getting car back = a little more than 2 weeks.

well...picked the car up yesterday morning just to have it die on me 15 fucking minutes later!!! Alternator went dead. On top of that my car just had to die on me on my way to work while I was driving through downtown seattle and the apartment building across the street from where my car died caught on fucking fire!!! So my boss came to pick me up and right after he got there they fucking block off the fucking block that I was on, so I couldn't get out and the tow truck I called couldn't get in. After about 1.5-2 hours, finally fucking got the fuck out of there and the tow truck picked up my car about an hour later. Bodyshop guy calls me and says it's going to cost $435 to replace the alternator, I told him it should have been fixed and covered under my insurance since it never died on me before the accident. He says I need to talk to my fucking adjuster about it...son of a bitch. On top of that I found out that my roommate still had my house keys since I have been driving his car arou | |
