how are sentra Spec V's? one of my friends wants one. Any huge problems they had or years to avoid?

nissans are reknowned for zero problems for at least 3 yrs when bought brand new.. just change the grill

to me the specV's look like ass.....but they handle well......we dont get them here in aus but they are pretty good runabouts. its ur typical FWD closed corners kinda car......not bad...but i dont think its that great either.

It's alright, I test drove an '05 Spec V. I don't like the new front ends though. If he gets a newer one ('04+) tell him to swap the '03 front on.

I heard they handled real tall and wobbly...there was a review in SCC a while back and I think that's where I got my info from. Don't they run a torsion beam rear suspension? That's so ghetto on anything claiming to be a performance car.
Can you tell I'm not a fan?

i owned an 02 spec v
it was garbage. pure garbage. the precat disintegrated and it consumed more than 2 quarts every oil change.
the ecu was replaced 3 times as well as the throttle body. sometimes it would leave me stranded every once in a while.
sometimes the idle would be fucked up and the check engine light would pop up alot.
if you want a piece of shit, go ahead and buy one. the spec v is the reason why i will never buy another nissan ever again.
