Noobie skyline Q's
i know skylines are kinda getting overrated here in canada. everyone is seemingly starting to get them. but irregardless i have always wanted one, but just dont seem to have the money to get one cause of rent arrears and not enough from my pay cheque. so lets say i do have enough to get a skyline whether it be a gts-type M, gts-4, or a gtr for that matter. before i go and choose one i dont wanna go in over my head. but Q's that i'm asking is: i hear that the maintenence is hardcore on these things...true or no? i'm prolly thinking the skyline is every other car to keep it in high maintenence. what are the things i should look for when buying? and why is it that every time you look at a skyline the bumper corners or the side doors are always scratch from paint. are the japs bad drivers and bump into other cars??? lol
this would be a good Q/A thing for noobs like me on the skyline. please help!

yea, about the only expensive thing on them in the us/canada would be parts cost and finding someone who knows what they take and has worked on them before

The only problem you would run into is finding parts for it and somewhere to service it. I can almost guarantee any Nissan dealership will NOT work on it.
There's 2 types of people in Canada who own Skylines:
1. The guys who own/work in a shop and know what they're doing with parts and labor.
2. I own a Skyline y0.

That's true, but I mean small things like wheel bearings, or gaskets etc. You know, stuff we all just order from a dealership. But since Skylines were never sold in Canada, you can't just go to a dealership and order something. I suppose if you found out the JDM part number, they might be able to get it, but I'm still not sure.
