SR20DET Gas mileage?
what kinda gas mileage should you expect with the sr20det in stock form. i think mine is running way to rich. i'm only getting mid 200's per tank of gas. my last tanks of gas. i took the mileage i got and divided by the tank size and i came up with 12.5 miles per gallon. Opinions. I have an Apex-I Safc sitting in my room. Do you think that will help? If so what should i expect with modest driving.

How much do you get on it. If you get on it alot then that sounds about right and a tune would probably help quite a bit.

ehh a little bit. i didn't realize they use that much gas. i'm coming from a honda lol. but wow. The guy i bought it from said he only gets about 200 a tank because. i got 180 miles a little before the 3/4 tank mark. Hmmm. Do you think an SAFC and a tune would help out a lot??? I know thye net about a 9 HP increase on Fc3s's and give alot better gas mileage. i don't know an insane amount about sr20's.

Ok i think i know what's up wiht my car. it has a walbro 255 fuel pump on it but the stock FPR. i was reading online and another guy has my same problem. it souns like the car has difficulty starting and rough to idle sometimes where you have to rev it and then the engine will idle fine. but my car smells a little like gas sometimes. Will i be fine just installing an SAFC first till i get an FPR? But i definitely think that is where my shitty gas mileage is coming from. And it's an atmospherical blow off valve. What do you guys think?

do you spit out fire/backfire sometimes?
well, if it smells like gas sometimes, you are running waaayyyy tooooo rich on fuel, kinda like DUH thing....
check the stats around the web to find the stock motor's A/F ratio and match that up with your SAFC when it's hooked up.

i dont know....never really take notice in all honesty...i just kill it.
when it reaches 'E' i know it has enough to get to a petrol station and that i shouldnt slide it because it will fail my fuel pump...plus im running a bigger turbo so it doesnt last that long
maybe when it was stock i was getting 350-400km's from a full tank but i never fill it up anyway haha

fuel pressure regulators really shouldnt be used if u want good reliability.....u only use them to get 'more' outta the injectors....not really required considering im sure ur already runnin less than 70% duty cycle....which is safe....u dont wunna run anymore than 75-80% duty cycle due to the spray pattern......makes for inefficient combustion.....

THanks for the info. So wiring my safc should probably fix my problem then. all i know is it has a walbro 255 fuel pump and i think that is what's makign me run rich. other than that or fouled sensors, what would make and sr20det with factory ecu run rich. I know it doesn't have cat on it. just 3" exhaust from the downpipe back.

its ur ecu management.......
u runnin an aftermarket atmospheric venting bov? as in does it make that gay vagina-hating 'woosh' sound when u change gears?
get a plumb back cos its makin ur ecu think its taking in more air than it is...thus its adding more fuel.........get it plumbed back.....or say a second hand GTR bov.........

most likely u'll be able to manage it.......its not ur maf that needs adjusted....its flowing enough for the mean time.......
but if ur runnin an aftermarket bov like the one mentioned above.....get it plumbed back and dont listen to ricers.

i think plumbing the bov back is the same as recirculating the bov right?
recirculating the bov just involves you taking a hose and make the air thats getting blown off go back into the intake tract after the MAF.
