is there a way to...

rip an audio track from a dvd movie and put it on cd?

Does your DVD player have an audio-out? Or are you just playing it in your computer?
You might be able to work something out hooking the DVD audio-out into the microphone jack on your compy.
I haven't seen any software that does it all on your compy though...there should be, it's a good idea.

I always wished that you could pop DVD's in your CD player and get the soundtrack...

you could use a program like soundforge to record the sound as u play the dvd on your pc.

and the quality will be really shitty as well get DVDXCOPY if you want to rip stuff.
