I like Last Emperor, Benefit, Cunninlynguists, RA the Rugged Man, MF Doom, MF Grimm, Eyedea and Abilities, Jedi Mind Tricks, Binary Star, Benefit, Slug, Sage Francis, Immortal Technique, Outerspace, thats all i can think of right now.

actually, if you've never heard of Hollywood Undead, they're pretty good... I'm not a big fan at all of hip hop, but they're pretty damn good. You're either gonna have to download their shit off limewire or something, or find their Myspace page... cause they're not signed in any way, shape, or form.

get the fuck outta here man. Why would you read and post in a thread that is about hiphop if you aren't a fan of hip hop? Its not like the title says "drop your opinion about hip hop" Simply asked for what hiphop artist you listen to, which in your cases seems to be not very many and you've already typed one!

awesome thread idea, i love hip hop but only underground shit.

i listen to a lot of stuff i just find and dont knwo the name of, but i really like movemeant, and ugly duckling fucking rule. im gonna check out jedi mind trick since ive heard of them a few times now. i just love to chill out to somegood hiphop.

i know they arent underground, in fact, pretty much the opposite, but a tribe called quest have some incredible stuff. i have all their albums and that shit never gets old.

also, for some of you that like the european grime or whatever the genere is, check out dizzee rascal, hes fucking insane, he has crazy shit, my history teacher burned me the CD and i love it. the album to get is boy in da corner.

yeah and retroshark. man.....tribe called quest. i felt that Q-tip lost his edge when that group disbanded. but i think he's gettin his game back. his lyrics have that sharpness again. even with chemical brothers collaberation with 'galvanise' he's got his charisma back to match his lyrical skill......i hope he keeps goin in the same direction.

I was just being an ass, saying hip hop sucked. only cause I'm not a big fan of it... that doesn't mean I can't appreciate talent where it's due, and it's not my personal flavor of music... so what?

Wow, you handled it pretty maturely for a Honda driver I was just giving you a hard time dude, now go play some emo shit but put the blades away first Anyhow, back to topic, Hip hop is on a return, Both Jurssic5 and Outkast dropped really nice albums, very laid back and none of that stereotypical cliche shit, specially Outkast. Method Man just dropped some hot shit as well, this album is on the caliber of Tical There are few great albums on the way, you can already find the advances on net for these : Planet Asia - The Medicine, RasKass - Eat or Die, Chino XL - The Warning.


But all you bucket driving gangsters, don't worry, I gotchya'll too, Bone thugs are dropping "Thug Story" very soon, the singles are already out and getting some airplay, check for Don't Stop.
