Anyone else watch?

I watched it religiously the first season then got out of swing when they were only showing reruns then got back into near the end of the second season and now I can't wait for the third season.

I'm thinking about getting the first season on DVD as a Christmas present to myself.

So uh yeah discuss...

it's more adult than I ever expected out of nickelodeon.

It's almost anime like-big story arcs, deep characters...um Asian kids

Synopsis:
Main plot:
Ancient times people were able to control the 4 elements using a martial art known as bending. There were four nations each having it's own bending (Air, Water, Earth and Fire). The Avatar was the one person in each generation who could control all four elements and balance the world. When an Avatar dies a new one is born into the next nation in the cycle.

The avatar of the air nation disappears and the fire nation attacks starting a massive war between the 4 nations. 100 years go by and 2 kids in the southern water tribe at the south pole find the 12 year old Avatar frozen in an iceberg. The avatar now has less than one year to learn to bend 3 elements and go fight the fire lord to end the war.

Subplot 1:
Fire lords son had his honor stripped away when he refused to fight his father and in order to regain it he must capture the avatar. His only real ally in the endeavor is his uncle. His uncle wants him to give up chasing the avatar and become a man on his own with his own honor. At the end of the 2nd season he teamed up with his sister and turned on his uncle to try and catch the avatar.

Other subplots are that the Avatar and his friends are being chased by some Earthbenders because the girl who is teaching him Earthbending is blind and her family thinks he kidnapped her.

There is a budding romance between the avatar and his waterbending teacher.

Most recently the Earth Kingdom fell when their capital was taken by a group of Earthbenders working with the Fire Lords daughter.

Plus the avatar still has to find someone to teach him firebending
