Cbr600rr vs R6

Alright guys whats your 2 cents i am only going to be using it to the i feel like riding no hard riding just cruisin and prolly the ocassional get on it. I would love to keep it all honda's in my garage but i have always loved any yamaha bike. I know the r6 is better performance wise but over all how are the two compaired i know all the stuff bought the r6 but nothin bought the cbr since i been a yamaha guy but like how hard is it to work on the cbr compaired to the r6.

O yea this deff isnt like superhonda you ask for somthing and get it wow that never happend on Sho that shitty! damn site! Sell outs!

I mean you cant go wrong with either one. I think what reck1 told me awhile back was if you get an r6 you get it from 03 and up because thats when they started getting good. The honda is a pretty nice bike too. Your obviously looking for a beginers bike and they are both the ones that every one recomends for noobs. My freind just started off on a cbr600rr and its pretty nice every one that rides likes it. If I were you I wouldnt even jump on one of those just yet and get something thats older and cheaper that way you can get some expereince in and not worrying about fucking the bike up.

Reck1 reccomended that I get a katana to start off with because they are easy to learn with. You can probably get rid of that bike relatively quick and pawn it off to one of your freinds once you get used to riding and your ready for a better bike.

CBR isn't worth is IMO. I've owned a 03 CBR RR, and 3 05 R6s. Yamaha is far more comfortable, nimble and balanced. CBR's seat is very small and hard, extremely angled when you compare it to Yamaha's, seats you very very aggressively. After being on R6, 600R, Ninja500, 636, Triumph daytona, gixxer600, I'd say CBR felt very smooth but its just not right...feels like something is missing. I don't know if its due to its ride height a little higher or taller gearing but I just can't get myself to like that bike again, even though I love its looks.

Btw, CBR1000RR has been at the very bottom ever since it came out. Out of all 4 major jap bikes that one's is last in almost ever category. I'm currently shopping for a Triumph Daytona myself.

Also if you are not a totall noob, I wouldn't recommend a katana at all. Only time bikes like Honda Hurricane, Honda CBR F3/F4i, Suzuki Katana, Kawasaki Ninja 250/500 etc. are good for you is when you are starting out and have a small budget. Even if budget wasn't a big issue its better to have a smaller, slower and older bike to learn on and then upgrade to appreciate the power and handling of a modern sportbike

gixxer and new 636 kawi are both better bikes right now. ride an r6 than a gixxer 600 and you'll be a mazed at how much more flickable and nimble the gixxer is.

i test rode an 03 gixxer and and 04 r6 the same week i bought my sv. the gixxer was a way better bike, even though the r6 had a micron system and less miles.

RR's look better but are some of the worst performers

Gixxer is an all around bike out of the supersport class.
