My new car.
Well, I'm on 12 hours later than my last visit and there were 8 new posts. So I decided to post some pictures of my car. It's almost done, I have some newer pictures, but I'll post up through last week as my camera is in my garage now, and it's too far.
So here we go, Late Aug. 2007 I had been looking for a 92 talon for a very very long time. I really wanted white. If you ask anyone I for some reason have this horrible obsession with white cars. I love white. So this is a Silver 92 GSX, not perfect, but I had been waiting for a 92 6/4 to pop up for sale in white for almost 3 years. Silver was a very good looking color though, and ran with it.
So it didn't take long until I was pulling shit apart, I had a daily driven neon which I loved, and it allowed me to take my sweet ass fucking time working on my car. In very late November though, my car ate the timing belt, so I sold it. And my build time got quicker. Here's a shot of the engine all out.
Well since obviously I'm not the first owner, the biggest problem with buying a used car is the previous owners. If I ever meet this ass hole, he's gonna need to learn to swim with cynder block shoes. I was stuck fixing this kind of shit.
So after cleaning the engine bay extremely well. Almost a half a gallon of cleaner, and about an hour of pressure washing, it was clean enough to start working on again. The engine was pulled for 2 reasons: 1. the hg was blown and 2. the car was filthy. FILTHY. Here's a couple shots of the engine going back together.

And after the washing of the engine bay, I took some time to clean up some more and painted the engine mounts, lower crossmembers, battery tray and more.
And here's a shot of the engine back in.
And here's one with the trans and mani/turbo/02/tial gate back in.
And this is it with the fmic mounted. Just mounted, I still had to run all the piping and shit for it. I've got some more pics to put up. As of today, all piping is in, as is everything but battery, axles, mas, and tcase. I'll post those pics soon though, I won't leave you hanging.

Very nice!!! I love the gen 1s (pop ups). Actually I've been wanting to go even older for a while. I'm looking for a nice Conquest or Starion.

Dude, no shit. Light gray is the coolest color ever.
So I heard it click today. Fucking battery was so beat it wouldn't work. But I got the gauges all hooked up. And found I have a hole in my radiator. It's out with epoxy drying now. Tomorrow I get money and I'll be buying a battery and like 25 air fresheners. It still smells like mexican. I'll have some pictures of out doors shots soon.
I'm also stopping at the fabric store, and Lowes to get some 3M glue. My headliner/ sunvisors are getting redone so they aren't falling on my face. Plus, I want them black to go with my seats.
