timing belt b?
mines broke, just noticed it the other day. not sure what it does.

take it to a shop and tell them to fix it
it spins the h2o pump, and keeps the cams and crank synchronized to make all the horse powas
|

DO NOT TURN THE KEY. If the timing belt is gone you may not have damaged valves, but if you try to start the car you're gonna muck up the engine. Tow it to the mechanic's and keep the keys with you so that the car won't be started.

i was under the impression the 4g63 was a non interferance engine

I think it is, but if you don't have a clue what it does then have someone that knows about it fix it. Those DOHC DSMs can be a little tricky to get the cam timing right on

I was drunk on the only one I did(my buddys car and he took me to the bar first) but it took me three tires before I got it right lol
