no turn over, till you finish your peas.
ok i just got my check valve in today and installed it along with putting my new walboro 255 in. i hooked the battery back up and jumped the car with my civic for like 5-10 mins, the engine wont turn over but the lights and ish work. i have to check the plugs still but im worried that it might be my fuel pump. ive heard many horror stories about walboro pumps, but when i tried to start it i heard some sort of sound from back but cant really explain it*prolly have to listen again). i have about a quarter tank of gas, ive heard that walboro's dont like that, but is it true? what do yout think could be the problem

I have heard the walbro's don't like emptyish gastanks.
I'd see if you can tell if fuel is getting sprayed (should smell like raw fuel out the exhaust..or dangerous/ghetto way, unhook a fuel line and see if it sprays out).
If it is, then I'd check to make sure you have spark (faulty coil pack maybe?), and obvioiusly air

I meant, if u are getting fuel, once you put it all back (if you pulla fuel hose), make sure you are getting spark in the combustion chamber

yeah, i know what you were saying, but im scared if something just goes "boom". i lost one of the nuts that keep the metal thing that the pump is attached to down.

Well, it IS a dsm, so it does always have the propensity to blow up i guess
Without all the nuts on, it should be ok just to test.
And i'd bet the noise you are hearing is the pump starting up. It would help to have someone turn on the car while you are back by the pump tho.
I'd try adding gas, then going through everything spark related.

got a new battery, didnt fix the problem.
checked check valve to see if it was going the right way, which it was. didnt fix the problem.
have a half tank of gas, not sure if thats good or not for the walboro.
pump makes whirring sound, so it works.
read some shit about the clucth pedal about some rubber thing and have to test the starter.
anything else i should try?
