My body goal.
Basically, I weigh about 224 right now. I would rather be 224 and have a lot more muscle and less fat. my question is, to lose body fat should i just focus on aerobic exercises or should i combine that with lifting weights? ive been working on a workout routine already so i just want to know if its better for me to cut down my weight to about 210 or so, and then hit the weights, or hit the weights right now?

hit the weights now, and incorporate more cardio. watch your diet. try to cut excess sugars (drink water instead of juices or sodas), fats, etc. maybe try making a certain body composition your goal, rather than trying to stick to a weight. targeting a weight can be difficult if you're just starting a new routine.

yah thats true, my previous routine, well how i lost 40 pounds from 264 to now, was workout(lift weights) about 4 times a week, and i would do cardio twice a week, and i cut out soda completely except for some diet coke once in a while. i am not drinking soda right now anyway, but i think i just need to get into that mindset.
im a big guy so i kind of want to work with that, and just get more muscular

just remember muscle burns calories fast, so the more you have the better. So gain more muscle mass, then work it by cardio and you will be wiping that fat away in no time. Its a building process

who cares about weight? get your body fat % down. aim for 10% through diet and cardio, mid-weighlifting. then go on from there.

do aerobic and anarobic work outs. Weight lifting is great because you burn alot of energy lifting weights and when you gain muscle it needs alot of energy to maintain itself so you lose alot of fat that way. If you wanna cut down quick try and do an hour of cardio a day. Try not to lose more then 4 pounds a week as well.
As for the sauna thats a myth just like running with a garbage bag under your shirt all your losing is water weight which you will gain back quickly

ima do this style that i read in muscle mag, do 10 to 12 reps just short of failure and then dropping the weight 10 percent and immediately doing another set. then take a short rest and continue dropping the weight with very little to no rest. well at least for some chest exercises.

The fastest way I've found to lose weight and gain alot of muscle was alot of workouts but not your normal workouts. I used to be on the wrestling team and I could eat whatever I wanted and still lose wieght. It was all in how we practiced. long and hard with the room being around 100 degrees. just drink alot of water. we would practice in a couple pairs of sweat pants and a couple pairs of sweaters and a plastic bag if needed. man back in the day I was ripped nothing but muscle. I wieghed about 186-189 189 being the max I could wiegh b/c of the wieght limits. If i needed to I could lose all the wieght I gained and get my muscle back in a month and half. that shit worked great
