and spent the shit out of it!!! im just messing, no i didnt, but i really did have someone's elses bank card by accident...

so i was at the post office paying for boxes and handed the guy a card, thinking it was my card, it was flipped to the back, so i didnt know it wasnt mine...since the front is different from the front of my card, so if it was flipped up - i wouldve immediately known it wasnt mine. so there i am the guy asking me if i want credit or debit and i said credit cuz i wanted to get visa check points to

then he hands it back and im like WTF this isnt my card!!!

so i asked him if he could refund it cuz its not my card, i wanna charge it onto my card...but he wouldnt let me...so im like fuck...now someones gonna think i stole it

but i called the number on the back for customer service, which btw is such a bitch, it took me forever just to get to customer service to have someone to talk to....told me to just go to the nearest bank of america ( since thats what the card was) and drop it off and explain it...

so i went there explained to them....i have this card and i dont really know how i got it? i used $4 on it and i just want my name cleared from it because when i signed, it was under my name and stuff...so iono. they asked how i couldve gotten the card...i said i probably got it at kmart a few days ago...cuz thats the last place i ever went out using my card - i assumed that since it was in my card id holder....

then they check the balances to try to see where i got it from...turns out it was used last night at the super market

and im like wth....how is that possible? cuz i wasnt out last nite at that shop...so im like umm iono

so wtf guys...how is it that i have a card this morning that was just used last nite? i must have some awesome sleep walkin skills

sooo i got $4 free dollars basically...they said it was good that i returned it and not to worry about the $4...i know some ppl are gonna be like - oh yeah u shouldve spent it blah blah blah...and believe me - I WAS TEMPTED...but i thought that was just too wrong and i believe in karma

whoever's card it is probably has more than one copy of the card. I mean, if it's just a bank debit card, it's not like it's hard to get extra cards, since it just comes out of their bank account anyway.

but yeah, they def. look into that fraud stuff real good these days... what, with all the "identity theft" nonsense and all, so it's probably a good thing you did what you did.

as to how you got it... well...

nah they really dont. Me and a freind were walking through a parking lot and we found a wallet and im like wtf and hes like o shit cards and took them all out. The chicks licence was on there and he took it to and im like wtf are you doing. And hes like free gas. He filled up his car to the top toped it off and then for 3 days filled his tank every chance he got till the card was cut off. He also filled his boats tank up to. I think the thing cuts you off at 20 bux but he would just swipe it again. Then he hit the mall with some chick since it was a chicks card and tore it up.

If they actually investigated it they would have easily caught him because he paid some ups shipment with it and his name was on it.

well yeah at the post office i signed with my name, and my names pretty legible and i dont know of too many toni rose juan's around here haha....so i was scared that like if i did spend it and kept signing her name...i wouldve just ended up getting in trouble because of the first thing i had signed for

but i feel better about the fact that i wasnt fucking with someones money. i mean the bank told me they were just gonna redopisit that or something so it didnt matter. i felt real bad though, i was like umm i can pay the four dollars i spent...haha

I'm glad there are people like you in the world. I left my card in an ATM machine once. Took my money out and completely forgot about the do you want another transaction bullshit and my card and just bounced. Went back to the bank that I used the ATM at and someone had pulled it out and gave it to a teller without taking any money out which would have been sooooo easy. I've done that twice too, I think the first time the machine just ate the card though.

the only time I know of that someone I know had that opportunity, he used it to get like $400 worth of service on his car at a local shop. Of course, they took down all his info, name, address, phone, all that just like most shops do... and when the guy disputed the charge the credit card company looked into it, and then the card holder charged him with credit fraud and my friend spent like a month in jail for it.

so I'm gonna assume they check that shit pretty well, should they decide to.

One of my good friends from back in the day just got arrested for credit card fraud using a card he found on the ground to order parts for his lexus is300
now hes in jail for 5 years
they do take that very very seriously and your lucky you turned it in, its not worth 5 years for $4
