Military sign up
I have started this thread originally on SHO, I will still post there to update those folks who I care for.
anyways, to update my home...
I am going to join the military soon, Air-Force to be exact.
job fields I have in mind is linguist, Military Police, and Airplane tech.
I just need to go enlist and take my ASVAB test.
I got all the paper I need for the enlistment, now I need to gather up some information and write them in.
Just wish me luck, that's all.
I'll keep this updated.

I dont know about airplane tech. It might be different for airforce but I know in marines if you do anything air related theres a good chance you will end up on a ship servicing planes and that sucks because your seperated from civilian life for months at a time. You need to take that into account. If I were you I would look for a MOS that gives you expereince to do something else if you want to leave the military.
MP is good especially if you want to become a cop after you leave the military because now you not only have military expereince but you also have law enforcement experence. Intel might be a good choice to its a pretty chill job. My freind does it and all he does all day is circle tanks on maps all day.
Also when you get in or before you get in you might want to concider taking some college courses. If you go in with a few credits you can start off as an e3 or if you get a bachelors you can become an officer. Lifes alot better once you become an officer you get paid more and you take less shit.
If you want to become an officer quick I think the army only needs an AA if you want to become an officer.

good luck, when i was thinking of signing up I took all the tests they said it would be 3-5 months before i could start because my area was full. Positions are sometimes hard to come by in the air force. You will wanna take the tests before you commit.

yeah ive heard about that to, its not like the rest of the armed forces. airforce is different in pretty much every way. My freind had to wait a long time to because of that and ended up taking some college credits so they would help him out when he got in.

awesome!!! my friend is in the Air Force. He works for them during the day, then parties at night. Met his girlfirend (now his fiancee) there. They pay fairly weell and i know that if i was going into the military i would join Air Force for sure! He loads weapons on jets. He really has no expenses so he has alot of money. BOught a 2000 cadillac like a year ago, and a gsx-r like 2 months back.
My grandfather retired as brigadier general from Air Force. If you get in a bind ,i call him up.

Just about a month ago I got a Marine Corps NROTC scholarship to either Tulane, USC, or George Washington. It's a pretty good deal - tuition paid, monthly stipend, guaranteed shot at OCS. That is my back-up plan, I'm also applying to the Air Force Academy and West Point.

I'm headed to germany after korea, so if i plan on bringing anything its going to be probably a S52B32, the euro M3 engine.
But we'll see. Ive also had thoughts of bringing back a Euro E30 M3.
Im not sure. If i find a CTR over there for cheep maybe I'd bring it home.
As for if I like it here, Its okay... I cant own a car here though. And my family is back in IL, I'm american/white =) Although i have korean step-brothers.
