Every once and a while its fun to fight for the little guy. I dont know how I feel about the ModifiedMag buy, and how it'll end up.

But I figured its also a chance to start a new, no post count fight, As we're all starting over at zero.

oh I see... that is pretty gay. I was on vacation... I went to Mardi Gras... I took off when that message was up there... when I came back, SHO like normal... so I didn't see what the big deal was.

Its not that big of a deal, but for me I think it could be down the line. I'm willing to put money on it that ModifiedMag doesnt stay the quiet owner that it pretends to be right now. We'll see changes.

i lfet because good friends of mine who had offered me help in the past had been banned so i thought i would help them in their protest by comming here. once i got here i realized how much better things were.

Modied mags will be helpful short term. But it will kill the longevity

i dont know about better... SHO had/has a lot of things going for it that this forum doesn't... this one's a little too diversified, catering to almost too much... it's still kinda messy, could use a cleanup, some organization...

it definitely needs that quick jump bar at the bottom, and some more smileys.

But yeah, a good place... I agree, a lot of the people that got banned from SHO or were left feeling raped or whatever, there were a lot of good people in that group, a lot of contributors.

But there was also a lot of whoring, flaming... nonsensical arguments, bitching, moaning...

Personally, I think the Modified buyout can do great things for the site... it means the capital to pay for fresh servers to handle the traffic... it means it should be up and running well virtually all of the time... it could lead to SHO feature cars, sponsorships, promotions... members who're heavy into the scene (true racers, hardcore show-goers, whatever)... all sorts of stuff. The only real problem I forsee could be that with the increase in traffic it'd get a lot more stupid people asking the same stupid questions.

I'll give it to you guys though, SHO was like home... it had that feel to it. a welcoming community. Now after going corporate, I guess time will tell.
