Question Question: SRS Light in 00 Gsr

The srs light just recently came on in my 00 gsr. Is there any reason as to why it came on?

its indicating a problem in the srs system. have a shop diagnose it. there is a process to reset it for the ludes and accords but im not sure if it applies to the tegs. but none the less...its on for a reason if your airbag isnt disconnected. i know mines on because of the aftermarket wheel.

removal of gauge cluster

unpluging your air bag plugs, especially ones for the seats in most cases.

if it isn't those two things, have the shop check it.

If you pulled the fuse out for the bag and then put it on and the lights on that should be your first indication to check the fuse again. It might have blown when you put it back in. and why did you pull it out to begin with?

Leave well enough alone........
or
if it aint broke dont fix it.

check the fuse again.

as long as your srs light is on the entire srs system is not going to work. so if you get into an accident your airbags will not go off

But I pulled it out by acident when tryng to take out the Power Relay Sunroof 7.5A fuse. The car was off. Yes I have tried to reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery for 30 min. Still showing.
