Question 00 GSR Windshield Damage Question.

Well heres the story. I was driving on the highway the other day and a construction truck happen to get in front of me. As it was in front of me rocks were falling down from it and one of them happen to hit my windshield. Didnt crack it but left a scuff on it. very small and light one. Smaller then a dime size. I tried to scratch it off with my nail but nothing. I was wondering could I use something to take it off? or just deal with it? The only reason its bothering me this much is because The windshield was just replaced not more then a weekn ago. Thanx in advance

if there is something on the windwhield, it would usually come off with little bit of paint thinner/gasoline. but if it's scratched, might want to try rubbing compount and smooth the scratch out so it's not as noticeable.

Depending on the insurance company you have, they will cover the cost of the repair. Auto Glass Specialists charges $80 for this. I know American Family covers this because I had this happen to me and they took the bill.

resin and fire should help. but you can fill it with a clear apoxy or something like that if you want. or just go to a glass repair place they should charge no more than 80 for it and even then that seems a lil steep so it could be cheaper.
