GTI 1.8t or vr6??

Hey u guys im new to the forums, i am looking to buy a GTI but im wondering if u should go for a 1.8t or the vr6? Which would be better to handle more power. im not looking to spend alot of money after i buy the car.

What would you guys say is better?

personally i would go with the vr6. i might be doing a mk2 gti vr6-t soon

1.8t is easier to upgrade initially (as most turbo cars are).

If it's an MKIV though and you don't have a lot of money to spend, I'd be considering other cars. Those cars are ridiculously unreliable.

I had a 01 GTI VR6 and it has too many electrical issues. My advise is stay away from the VR6
