mazda's mazdaspeed mazda6?

what you guys think of it? i think its a damn nice car and a damn good performer for the price and for what you get. 274 hp, 280ft-lbs tq. 2.3L engine, turbocharged. its a tad heavy but i guess thats not bad. what does anyone else think of it? i think ima take this bad boy for a test drive soon and see what its like. its a lot cheaper than an evo or sti for pretty close in the performance margin.

i told my dad about it and considering its about 5 or 6 thousand more than an sti, he liked that idea. we might go looking this friday at them. i have never seen one of these on the streets, and would be cool to be one of a few to own one. o man the plans are coming together as i type this haha.

lol I got in an arguement with a Mazda salesperson about that car. Straight up told him it wasn't shit compared to the STi and Evo and he about flipped. He said it was more car than either of them and more refined. So I asked him honestly, if he had the choice out of those three would he really choose the MS6, he said he'd take the Evo.

well you cant really compare them you know. the evo and sti are race machines. the mazdaspeed 6 is nowhere near that. i dont think thats what mazda was trying to go for. i was looking at comparisons to diff. cars at edmunds, and they had the altima se r, g35 and whatnot, and sti and evo were not in the comparison. sti and evo are for the pure enthusiast, whereas the mazdaspeed 6 is for the guy who wants that extra power and performance, but still wants a decently luxurious car.

obviously if i had the money, i would go for the evo mr in a second.

I just think they priced it wrong. It sucks when your shopping in the 30kish range because thats the section with the most cars to chose from. For 30kish range your like Hmmm I can get an evo but the sti is easier to drive but hey I can get a g35 and thats pimping but its not a convertable Ohhh I can get the s2000 but wait I can get a 3 series and its a bimer!!! or no a benz and a benz means you made it!!!

Thats the problem but what ever. Im a very opinionated person so Ill tell you what id tell any one else. If I was going to buy that car I would just go ahead and look at the sti or evo but what ever you get just make sure its what you want not what any one else wants because then you will be thinking damn I could have got this.

different stroke for different folks.
i wouldn't buy another evo unless for some reason i came into enough money for a second vehicle. Just not practical enough.

yah seriously, definetly a good car for the weekend or whatever, but for everday driving, not so much

edit: thats what is appealing about the mazdaspeed 6, its a good every day vehicle but has that performance aspect hidden
