engine clicking...need help badly
Hey,
I replaced a head gasket on my bro's 92 civic auto hatch with the d15b7, but now it's running funky and making this clicking noise. We haven't driven it yet. At first the timing was off on the pulleys but after realizing that we fixed it and made sure all the timing marks were aligned correctly but the clicking was still there so I'm not sure what to do now. If anyone can help...please please do.
Thankyou

Maybe you bent some valves?
Do a compression test, go from there

sounds like the valves or there could be loud ticking from the fuel injectors. check both.

Oh...I hope nothing is bent...I'm tired of working on my bro's car. My CRX needs some loving. Anyway...we didn't check valve clearances...could that be it? I'm planning on adjusting them tomorrow. If it's the injectors, what should I do to fix them?
And thanks for all the help...I appreciate it greatly.

Yea...I spent this morning adjusting the valve clearance. Now it's running like a champ. The only thing left is to set the timing on the distributor, but right now it seems pretty damn close. Now I can fix the Rex...
