DIY: Cheap big brake conversion with oem honda parts

Last year I swapped the ee8/ef8 front hubs/brakes to my 91 ed9 crx and increased brake diameter from 238mm to 262mm, i did this with the knowledge that the ITR calipers would bolt on easy to these hubs...

Now i still had to find me some 282mm discs, with a 4x100 drill, so today I picked up my Powerstop discs (prelude vti), 282x23mm with a 4x100 redrill...

Comparison between stock ed9 calipers and the ITR ones:

New goodies just arrived:

Machine redrilled 4x100:

282mm would fill up the 17ers just fine:

Installation:

The way it was... stock ee8/ef8 brakes:

Installation of bracket:

Installation of caliper:

Goodridge braided hoses installed... stupid things are way to long:

Rim back on:

Car back on ground again:

After a little ride the gold coating is allmost completely gone... only the inner part still there:

17" rims finally filled with nice brakes, and it didn't even cost that much:
